The Battle of Camlann is said to be
King Arthur's last
battle. The Welsh Annals,
which were written several centuries after the events they describe,
states:
"AD 539 The Battle of Camlann in which both Arthur and
Medraut (Mordred) fell,
and there was a plague in Britain and Ireland."
Today the Battle of Camlann is thought by many to have
been fought at Slaughterbridge, situated between
Tintagel and
Camelford
in Cornwall.
There are, of course, many other possible places for the battle, such as
Bath.
